Interpreter Services Brokering
Trancare provides Spoken Language Interpreter Services Brokering for Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties when requested by DSHS staff or DSHS contract service providers (medical providers) for medical appointments covered by Medicaid.
As of August 15th, 2011, Trancare will begin accepting requests for American Sign Language interpreters that will occur on or after September 1, 2011 in our service area of Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties.

As a reminder, all requests must be pre-authorized. Under no circumstances should requesters be working directly with interpreters or subcontracted language agencies. Any encounters not scheduled through the broker are considered outside the scope of this contract and not reimbursable.
Requests must be recieved at least 48 business hours before the appointment time, but no more than 30 days in advance. (Weekends and Holidays do not count towards the 48 hours.) Requests received with less than 48 hours notice will attempt to be filled, but may have no interpreter available due to the late notice. After Trancare receives your interpreter request, you will receive an Interpreter Confirmation within 24 hours. If you do not receive your confirmaiton, please call our office to confirm.
